About Us

Brooks and Daniels Marketing LLC was formed by Jon Brooks and Rick Daniels in March 2005 when Albertsons relocated their general merchandise buying offices from Scottsdale, Arizona to Boise, Idaho. Brooks & Daniels opened their Tempe, Arizona office in June, 2005 which handles accounts in Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Texas, California, Oregon and Washington. The Illinois office opened in August 2005 and handles accounts in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri, Michigan and Nebraska. The Minnesota Office opened in Janaury 2008 and handles accounts in Wisconsin and Minnesota. We will be opening a new office in Portland, Oregon in May 2010 when Michelle relocates to Portland.

Jon Brooks is a 28 year veteran of Albertsons with category management experience in health care, beauty care, sundry, cleaning, housewares and seasonal categories. Jon’s varied background in category management, sales, marketing and operations gives him a tremendous advantage in dealing with day to day sales operations, management and presentations as well as a unique perspective in dealing with Category Managers and Buyers at major retailers.

Rick Daniels worked for Albertsons for 27 years and was a category manager responsible for mops & brooms, sponges, closet, laundry, household plastics, automotive, hardware, and electrical. With this knowledge, Rick has a remarkable advantage in dealing with the daily management and sales objectives as well an understanding the day-to-day view of most Category Managers and Buyers at major retailers nationwide.

Matt Wong is a 10 year veteran of both retail and sales having worked as an assistant category manager at Albertsons prior to joining Brooks & Daniels. Matt’s expertise in being able to complete the complex paperwork required in the retail industry today as well as his responsiveness in working with the various retailers on samples requests, purchase orders, expediting and problem solving makes him an invaluable asset to our company. Matt works out of our Arizona Office.

Michelle Chiovare joins the Brooks & Daniels team with over 10 years of marketing and sales experience. Most recently she held the position of Community Marketing Director in the senior living industry. Her strengths come from her experience as an Account Manager for a full-service sales and marketing agency representing a diversity of products from the world’s leading manufacturers. Michelle brings strong organizational and follow-up skills to our Arizona office.

Kim Lally brings to Brooks & Daniels over 30 years of industry experience. Most recently, she worked for a major housewares distributor, M. Block & Sons in Chicago. Her responsibilities included purchasing numerous general merchandise categories with a total volume of $15M. Included in her 24 years of service to M. Block, she spent 15 years in sales as Account Manager for major customers such as Albertsons, Cub foods, Dominick's, Ulta and Factory Card Outlet. Kim is responsible for our Illinois Office

Tom Nygaard has over 25 year experience in the consumer products industry both on the manufacturing, sales and marketing areas. He has an MBA in Marketing having served in many capacities including a sales broker, senior account representative, director of prospecting, sales consultant, national sales manager and VP of Sales and Marketing. He brings to the Brooks & Daniels team focused leadership, value added customer based solutions, strategic branding strengths and is a skilled program and project director. He will help us open up new accounts as well as continue to generate long term positive sales in our existing accounts. Tom is responsible for our Minnesota office.
